What did you mainly wear day to day whilst pregnant? Feeling really frumpy and unfashionable lol! Any tips?

I lived in leggings, t-shirts & thin long jumpers from places like New Look, Forever 21 etc. I loved tight tops that showed off my bump although i hated that "inbetween" stage where people couldn't tell if i was preggers or just ate alot.

top shop maternity, h&m maternity, gap maternity the gap maternity jeans were the best. the topshop cute outfits were incredibly comfortable and the h&m basics were REALLY handy.

I practically lived in dresses as i was pregnant through the sweltering Dubai summer! Loads of maxi dresses and knee length dresses. I bought all my maternity wear online as i refused to pay the inflated Dubai prices :\: Retailers know they can charge an arm and a leg for maternity clothing as the range and shops are so limited :/: My favorites were: [url=http://www.asos.com/Women/Clearance/Maternity/Cat/pgecategory.aspx?cid=6413#parentID=-1&pge=0&pgeSize=20&sort=3'>ASOS[/url'> [url=http://www.motherhood.com/mastercategorybynamerefinement.asp?Category_Id=9003&MasterCategory_Id=9996&Category_Name=&website_Id=&sProduct_sortBy=l&sProduct_SizeFilter=S_&sProduct_BrandFilter='>Motherhood[/url'> [url=http://www.destinationmaternity.com/MastercategoryByNameRefinement.asp?Category_Id=9002&MasterCategory_Id=9996&Category_Name=&website_Id=&sProduct_sortBy=l&sProduct_SizeFilter=S_&sProduct_BrandFilter=&sSearchRefinement=true'>Destination Maternity[/url'> ZARA Motherhood & Destination Maternity online (sale section), is a fraction of the price compared to Destination Maternity in Dubai! Frankly - the mark up is ridiculous!

JeansWest has a few maxi dresses at the moment that might work. I looked like I was wearing a tent in mine but I was comfy :D. Having said that, I did rush home as soon as I could to change into my PJs.

I bought as little as possible, but made sure what I did have was very versatile. Had the following: White linen trousers (from Jenny Rose at MOE - lovely fit and did not feel like maternity trousers) Black trousers Leggings - one over bump and one under. I bought one maternity dress which made me look like a tent so never wore it again. Most of my tops were relatively snug and just flowed over my bump. My fav shops were Jenny Rose and Destination Maternity.

I got most of my baby bump threads from H&M, Next and Destination Maternity. Mostly H&M. Try and find some nice Maxi Dresses, they are always nice... but with it being winter I'm not sure if you could still find them in the stores. Haven't shopped for myself in sooooo long so have no idea whats in the stores now.

I felt totally frumpy and unattractive when I was pregnant - not like I'd envisaged at all! I gave up trying to look pretty after a while. I found comfy linen combats in H&M and Next, tops in Destination Maternity and H&M and the best pair of shorts in Destination Maternity. Then as soon as I had DS (well, as soon as I squeezed into pre-baby things) I stuffed the whole lot in a bag and hid it under the bed. Debenhams had a few bits as well. If you don't want to buy maternity clothes, look for tops that are empire-line or with a tie under the bust and go up a couple of sizes. <em>edited by DubaiCat on 29/01/2011</em>

H&M was my favourite, especially now when they're on sale. Loved their trousers, shorts and bras (still wearing them..) Mothercare would have the best pyjamas and night gowns. Worth buying them now as the sales are still on...

Peacocks in Battutta has a small maternity section as do New Look and Top Shop. Also the Mothercare branches stock some stuff.

Found a few tops and jeans in H&M. Woolworths have really nice comfy pants. Indulged in some outfits from the expensive shop in MoE - cannot remember the name but the one next to Obaibi and opposite Carters. Generally found it so difficult to find really nice clothing. I have seen destination maternity opened up since so they are worth a shot! I lived in my black pants and just swopped different tops but I was working so needed more corporate wear.

Big white linen shirts and lines trousers from M & S with elasticated waists or skirts. Comfortable, smart, practical and cool. Or go for Maxi dresses with a light cardigan to cover with when in public.
