Thanks. Both DD and I just had our eyes tested but we got charged for neither as I bought glasses for DD. I was just trying to compare with the costs of an eye test at home. u cant compare as the cost of glasses etc are much cheaper in the uk than here. but some health insurance cover optical to a certain level so check your cover. Free of charge, they are not really cheaper what with the sales on at the moment,...my dh got designer glasses two for one at vision express.....just like the offers in the uk....never pay the price they ask for....I just got my lenses put in my sunglasses and the price started at 600 Dhs walked away paying 340 Dhs..... there is usually a standard price for putting lenses into glasses, i think around 150 or so.

usually at the shops its done free if you buy their glasses. you can get it done at the hospital and it should only cost what you pay for your health insurance, ie 30 dhs or 50 dhs etc. but they will do a more thorough job.
