I am looking for somewhere to hold a conference/workshop for breastfeeding mums (run by a voluntary community organisation) - somewhere which will seat up to 50 people and have room for tables/displays at the back/side.

Please does anyone have any ideas? I'm not really sure where to start!

A friend involved in another voluntary organisation told me that Christ Church in Jebel Ali sometimes lets out it's halls and smaller rooms to community non-profit organisations for free or charge to cover AC or something - sorry can't quite remember. This is only if they happen at non-peak times when the halls would just be empty.

If you're happy to pay, the Al Barsha Holiday Inn has good rates and they'd have a room big enough to accommodate. You can also try the Media Rotana, although I think they're a bit more expensive. Then there's the arts centre in MOE (sorry can't remember the name) who have halls you can rent. Also the dubai trade centre rents out halls. Basically you can contact any hotel and they should be able to accommodate. You can also try schools as well as universities such as Zayed University.
