No wonder there are hardly any replies . I understand now that Satwa is maids/laborers and minor office job keepers only. I was to suppose to take the VIP service to begin with. Pay the extra because we can and have a smooth renewal. What a performance of discrimination here. Anyway I still have not my Medical done, payed for it online but may have to loose that amount because I run out of time and have to take the VIP service. Clever ain't it?

Hi Chicken I hope you were more successful than I was. I arrived at 9.15, early for me, only to be told that they only took the urgent ones. The normal ones were allowed back at 2 pm. It was even more crowded and a lot of agitated people which I was one of. Monday I'll try again, before eight am and will not take No for an answer, what a mess.

FYI it is closed between 12 and 2 pm. I arrived there at 12.01 after getting lost boohoo. I will go again tomorrow. At least I managed to get the typing done for immigrations in a dodgy little office in an alley which I wasn't so sure about, but an Emiratie came in as well so suppose it is okay. Go early because when I arrived the entrance and exits where blocked by people who were waiting to get in, pushing and yelling. But when I said, excuse me may I pass, they let me through. It became obvious that it was not the official entrance because I stood in a room where they were taking blood tests. Finally I found the reception, well sort of, and they told me that they were closed until 2 pm. I must say it was an experience, and it will be perhaps tomorrow as well but next time I take the VIP service.

Is there only one clinic in Satwa? If so I don't know the name of it but it's by the bus stop behind the car park where Dream Girl is, if that makes sense! I think it opens at 8am. DC - my writer friend was over this week (she left today) and we were talking about you - hope you are OK. I'm sure there's only 1 clinic there and it's the same one that you mention!

Not being funny but I think it's called the Satwa Clinic!!!!!!! If you park inthe car park between the mosque and the post office walk up (away from the mosque heading past the post office) and the clinic is just past the post office.
