We shipped my GMC Envoy here and it's finally arrived and waiting in port. I went yesterday to inspect it and the battery is completely dead. The shipping company will bring it to my house tomorrow night and then I'm going to need to get a battery. DH said they are very expensive here and about 4 times more than what we pay in the states so I thought I'd check and see if anyone has a place they shop at and it won't cost us a fortune.

I'm wondering if the GMC dealership here would have one and if it would be really expensive.

The price can depend on country of origin for the battery. My car takes a Panasonic and the one I bought from Satwa was made in Thailand and only lasted a year. Since then I've bought mine from the main dealer and have been given the choice between Thai and Japanese Panasonics. The Japanese ones have all lasted over two years. They're more expensive but not double the price so a better deal in the long run.

500 dhs? I think I just got punched in the gut. Thank you, I'll tell DH to stop by after work and pick one up.

There's plenty of these shops in Satwa.

They are about 500 dirhams and available at most small workshops connected to petrol stations or tyre shops.
