@ Cheeky Monkey, your cat is probably this cats father because they sound so similar!!! shame you never found him, but I bet he is happily roaming around the free spirit he is.
I hope not! He was neutered as soon as he was old enough :\: And I would love to think he just chose to set up home somewhere else, for all his madness he was as soft as a pudding with people!
lol well that would be an interesting story... neutered cat fathered litter... hmmm
It has been known to happen! We had a dog once with only one test-icle (can I write the full word or will it be ** out?) and the vet said he'd be infertile....Well he fathered 12 puppies! :D
oh my 12 puppies!!! bet that was a big surprise :)

Anyone have any idea how to get in contact with the person who found this cat? My friend has contacted via FB but hasn't had a response yet, anyone have a contact number?

I am so glad this cat has an owner, he/she has been running into my house non stop and eating my cat's food.....i put up papers all over Springs 15 with his picture but no one phoned and then I think the security took it off coz it is gone.
He looked sooo thin and neglected i felt so sorry for him.
Well rest assured he's always been thin no matter how much food he's had on offer, just the kind of cat he is.
They must not have seen the posters as they have a 6yo and 2yo who would have noticed right away because they very much miss him and look out for him everyday. There've been various posts on here by me as well as on dubizzle by the family searching for this cat so he's definitely not neglected and unloved!

AdviceSeeker, thanks for that, guess he's not my boy then since he was about 6 years old when he disappeared! Shame though, would have loved it to have been him and for him to be safe and loved. Sound like he might be related though, Fred used to go missing for a few days too and then come back when he was hungry, he also once jumped out of a bush and attacked a passing dog that was minding it's own business and made the mistake of sniffing in the wrong place! Free spirit indeed and I could never have made him into a house cat... sad though. Glad this guy has turned up again! :)
OMG thats not a girl cat, thats a boy cat, and I know the owners... this is the most annoying cat ever! it runs away all the time, and leaves for days at a time and then comes back for 3 days rest and food, then when out for the toilet disappears...
He is neutered and that collar is a new one which I gave my friend to put on him since the other collar came off in his last expedition...
How can they be contacted to arrange pickup?
Don't suppose they got him as a rescue sometime since about January 2008 did they..? sounds just like my boys old habits! Wouldn't be trying to claim him though if he has a good home - I've moved countries twice since he went missing and am now back in the UK. But if he really was a stray with no home and was my boy I'd try and bring him back here.
They did get him as a rescue, but he was about 4 weeks old when they got him. He's only about 11 months old now.
He went missing on the 31st of October, then was found in springs 14 at the end of november beginning of december, then was home for a while, then went missing before xmas, turned up on xmas day again tired and battered, stayed home for about 3 days and thats when he got the new collar, then he disappeared again and now we see him on here again!!
Poor kids get really upset every time he disappears, but they've spoken to the vets and they've said there's nothing much they can do about it as he seems to be a free spirit... He's been spotted by neighbors fishing in the lakes in the springs before and actually catches fish and all, he's a bit of a wild thing, but very sweet.
Cheeky, another way you can tell is if you have a good face picture of your cat and compare the markings :). anyway, I sent the guy who is feeding her a message so he will get back I am sure ;) would that not be lovely if it was your boy!!!
I have a reasonable face picture of him and he is scarily similar, although when he went missing I had loads of sightings of 'him' that weren't actually. He has one of 'those' faces I guess!! I look forward to hopefully hearing if he has that 'go faster' stripe...

Hi Sue, I tried to comment on the facebook page but couldn't for some reason. Do you know by any chance if this cat is definitely female? Our male cat went missing a couple few years ago and is remarkably similar (although the one in the pic looks quite a bit thinner than our tubster). I know it's almost 99.9% likely to NOT be ours, especially if it is definitely a female, haha, but I had to ask... He has a faint tattoo in his ear and was microchipped although I know sometimes they 'move' so may seem as though they aren't chipped. The other tell tale sign is a white 4 inch or so 'go faster' stripe down his spine. Thank you.
