10 week old hates lying flat
My 10 week old DS hates lying flat on his back when awake. He does tummy time for like max 10 mins then he cries. He prefers being held in an upright position or sitting. I noticed he likes looking around the house and sometimes even watches TV! (Don't get me wrong, I don't let him watch TV. I watch the news in the morning while feeding and he turns his head to watch too) He hates lying down so much that he pulls himself up (baby crunches) or rolls to his side.
So yesterday I took him to his pedia for routine check up. After seeing the dr (he said, DS is a healthy boy and he has good neck control) I was holding him in a sitting position waiting for DH in the reception then there was one nurse who came up to me. She was soooo surprised and asked me why I'm holding my baby like that! She said I'm causing damage to his spine! She said babies below 6 months shouldn't be carried like that! So now I'm worried that maybe I did some damage. I did some research online and couldn't find anything.
Is it really bad for their back to be held in an upright position before they reach 6 months?
