I also recommend Dr.Andrea. I have put her contacts in a previous message. If you do a search on the forum, you'll find it. If I am having another baby, I'll see her again, even if I leave the country ^^, will b back for her lol, just kidding. But seriously, she's GOOD!!!

Congratulations Lolly on the good news!!! :) I was in the same boat as you last month, I found out I was pregnant with my first too so I researched for a good gynocologist on the expat forum since people have experienced with them. I came across Dr Grace at the Dubai Mall medical centre, she seemed professional and the place was new, organised and clean, I also saw her 15 minutes before my appointment since I went there early which is a good sign to me. I went for my first scan at 8 weeks where they check the heart beat and baby growth., they also get blood tests and urine samples and ask you questions. From then on she'll book you for the next follow up and they'll let you know what will be going on for next 7 months lol since I had no clue! Anyway I hope that helps, Congratulations again :)

Hi Lolly, Congratulations!! Reading EW, I realise there are a couple of categories how ladies here choose where to give birth. a) how popular the hospital is b) how good the doctor is c) how 'serious' the pregnancy is (high risk or normal) do you have a regular gynae? if not, ask for recommendations. Personally, I was seeing Dr Andrea Farhat who was then with International Modern Hospital and I went with her. Even tho, I don't live close to the hospital, I was choose her as I was very comfortable with her. I now know that Dr Andrea has her own clinic at Al Wasl Road. I can't recommend anyone else. Do ask.
