Help - I cant sleep! I'm almost 27 weeks pregnant and feel like I havent slept for a month. i am so uncomfy (even with a special pillow) and wake up almost every 2 hours. Anyone got any ideas on how to sleep better!
THANK YOU!

I swam daily but had really bad rib pain and hip pain, ended up creating myself a "nest" of 5 or more pillows with one between my legs. DH was a bit put out but luckily we have a superking. ;) The reflux was awful though. The only thing that helped was avoiding fruit juice, esp citrus and eating lots and lot of apples (like more than 5 a day) as well as lemonade if all else failed. Oh and its not temporary, because as little sleep as you think you are getting now, just wait until you have a newborn ;)

Are you active, exercising??. I find that being active, doing yoga, swimming really helps. I am 34 weeks and so far no back pain and can sleep all night long.

Hey, i had this from week 20 till the end!!!!! I found propping myself up with lots of pillows (almost sat up) eased the pain but unfortunately it will still be there! Hope you don't have this for too much longer

Hi, I am also 27 weeks and having sleep prob's, amongst many other things! I get hungry and then when I do eat the acid reflux starts and when that isnt the problem the baby is kicking me!... I use to need 10 hours sleep but down to around 4 hours but I keep telling myself its all temporary, good luck :)

I found that having a light snack helped. I also didn't sleep well, was in constant pain and the pregnancy pillows did nothing for me. On the bright side, the lack of sleep now will prepare you for when your baby arrives : )

v common to get insomnia at this stage.. it'll pass (or did in my case) take afternoon naps if you can. read a book at night instead of lying there going crazy!!
