6 mo DD weighs less than when she was 4 mo - where am I going wrong?
When DD was born she weighed 2.98kg. She is EBF and I have tons of milk so within one month she had gained 1.5kg. She continued to gain a healthyweight and by 4 months was 6.5kg. At 5 months she needed to go to the ped as she had an ear infection, at the time she was weighed and I noticed she hadn't gained since her previous check-up. I raised this with the ped who thought it wasn't an issue. At 5 months I started her on solids, she has an amazing appetite and eats three healthy meals a day as well as her continued BFs.
Yesterday I took her for her 6 month check-up and vaccinations and got a bit of a telling off from the ped. She now weighs just 6.4kg. I don't understand why she is losing weight. She is BF 5 times per day (7.45am, 12.30pm - or whenever she wakes up post nap - 3.30pm - 6pm - 7pm) eats 3 good meals (10am, 1pm and 4.30pm, banana, baby rice, apple, pear, sweet potato etc) and has slept through the night 7pm til 7.30 am since she was 4 months old.
I used to try to give her an extra BF at around 9.30am when she arrived at nursery but she just didn't want it and used to cry so she now simply has her solids breakfast at 10am.
This morning the nursery tried to give her a bottle at 10.30am but she refused it as she was 'full' (quote the nursery staff).
I am quite upset about this as I feel as though I'm not looking after her properly and don't know what to do.
Where am I going wrong? Any ideas how I can fatten DD up a bit?
