Hi all.... I am now 4.5 mths post delivery & my feet are giving me a lot of trouble. Particularly my heels and I get shooting pains from my heels up through my calves after long periods on my feet. I've been to see a podiatrist who didn't really help other than advise me to wear more supportive shoes. While I do think that would help I don't think it's the source of the problem and I think it may bee linked to my delivery Orr post delivery body... Anyone out there experience this??? Would be interested to hear ..... xoxo

It's been a while since this was posted so maybe you have already sorted out your feet, but if not... If it's plantar fasciitis, you may be able to get an orthotic shoe insert that will really help. Speak to Ann Maher at HealthBay Polyclinic. It worked for me and I was crippled before.

I am 5.5 months post delivery and I got this in my last month or so in pregnancy and I still have it now. I think it is plantar fasciitis, and specifically from changing to wearing flat shoes all pregnancy (ballet flat type with no support) My feet are agony first thing in the morning or when I first walk after I have been sitting a while. And the tighness and inflamation of the tendons in the foot/leg fromt that have started to affect my knee, as sometimes my right knee is soooo paintful. I tried to go back to the gym after 3 months, and I actually couldnt walk. Really should go and see a Dr but I just don't have time now I am back working!

http://www.patient.co.uk/health/plantar-fasciitis-leaflet I have the same & I'm 6 months preg. It sounds like plantar fasciitis. It comes from wearing flat shoes, this puts extra strain on the Achilles tendon and inflammation at its connection with the plantar fascia on the sole if the foot under the heel. You can put heel raises in your shoes & do Achilles stretches. Beyond this it's steroid injections etc. Above leaflet is very good, hope this helps (Unless you kicked your obgyn in the face mid-delivery & broke a bone in your foot??)
