Hey guys can anyone help with this. Dunno why LO (5months) nose dries up during the night and also gets flakey and gives him a tough time to breathe normally , do u think a dehumidifier would help?

once they get teeth they make much more saliva, saliva helps digest food so keep that in mind when you are deciding when to begin solids.

same thing happened with my baby but his mouth was much more drier then his nose. i started using humidifier and now he is fine (he is 3 weeks old). i noticed that whenever i sit in other room which does not have humidifier his mouth dries up pretty quickly. maybe after 4 months once his water starts then his mouth will no longer wil be dry.

yes a humidifier should help if the air is too dry. You could first try putting a large bowl of water in the room at night (it will evaporate and humidify the air somewhat) if that doesn't help then a decent humidifier. I use a sharp plasmacluster humidifier/purifier which filters dust from the air and adds moisture if needed. I don't use the humidifier often but its a good one, doesn't make the room too wet as it actually senses the rooms humidity and cuts off if the air gets too moist.

it might, couldn't hurt to try (especially if you know someone you can borrow one from) but am pretty sure you mean a humidifier (puts moisture into the air) not a dehumidifier (takes it out). If I'm wrong, no, I don't think it would help, I think you need to make the air more moist if anything.
