Hi i am new to Dubai, and looking for something worthwhile to do. I have 20 or more years of experience as a midwife
in the uk( although I am Irish) and am willing to to help anyone get started with feeding or be a support.
I can be contacted me through this forum, Dee.

Hi Deirdre...and welcome! Please do have a look here - http://www.expatwoman.com/forum/messages.aspx?TopicID=151781 I'm no longer in Dubai but once was an active member of BFQ&A (the online support group mentioned) and the original La Leche League Dubai group. It's such a shame that some of the regular meetings have stopped as they were an invaluable resource to new mums. I hope you find something on the list that excites you! :D

I don't think we could hold being Irish against you! ;) Please have a look on the "breastfeeding support in the UAE" thread and contact any organisations that tickle your fancy. Unfortunately most of the peer support coffee mornings have dried up because no-one has volunteered to host, so if that floats your boat, then it'd be most welcome!
