Any ideas or thoughts on what buggy to get? only 8 wks to go and absolutely nothing bought yet - think I need to get started soon. If you bought your baby buggy, cot etc were you able to take it straight from the store or did you have to wait?

;)

Hello again kitty, can you advise if you bought your P&Ts here in the UAE or abroad? We have 3 months to go and I think i am looking at the P&Ts option but not sure if you can buy P&Ts here in the UAE or if I will get my parents to bring one from Australia over when they come in December. thanks Jamo, P&Ts is available in Bumblebee - Dubai Mall.

Don't be fooled into buying a Jeep pram! We received one for our first at my babyshower as my friend worked at Jeep. As grateful as we were and as handy as it was, it only lasted 9 months!! I would definitely recommend a travel system as it is very useful, but you will need two prams. Once they are a bit older around a year or so a light weight, compact stroller will be used. We got the Quinny Zap and it is fab!! Used that for ages, bought it second hand on dubizzle and it is still in great nick, which we will be using for our second. As for the travel system, we had to get another one as the Jeep pram broke. So we bought an Apple iCandy also off Dubizzle. Baby hasn't arrived yet, but the pram looks and seems really sturdy.

The key is go and try them all in the store and see which feels right. Mainly need to check your posture when you have it against you. Make sure that your are not uncomfortable pushing it. Also: Does it fold properly flat for easy storage etc? Is it easy to clean and take the covers off etc. I opted for the Bugaboo as it was all singing and dancing pram! However, didnt end up using it much. If you decide to go for a Bugaboo Chameleon range in Red then I still have the extras (still new in packaging) if you want them. LOL!!! Best of luck.

You should go to JustKidding they offer really good advice and demonstrations on strollers etc etc. Then you know what to look for when you shop.

Think about what you need it to do for you. Everyone is different and will therefore recommend different things. For example, I harp on about how much I love my P&T, but that's because I walk a lot and can load it up like a carthorse... if you were to, say, hardly walk at all and even then, only in malls, a P&T would be terrible overkill and you'd be better off getting an umbrella stroller that lies flat. Umbrella strollers for me and what I need, would be horrid. One thing you need to make sure of is that bubs can lie flat. Other things to consider would be: - do you need it to take a car seat? - how much walking will you do? - do you plan on having 2 close together (if so, get a P&T! ;) ) - how important is the weight (both light strollers and heavier strollers have their weight-related issues) - does it have enough storage? - does it have a high enough handlebar for both you and DH to push? - is budget important?
