after reading another post on the main thread regarding "post operation scarring inflammation" it just came to my mind how is your scar after 1 year post c-section? i still have the numbness below my navel and the scar is red. although i have been twice to same doctor and once to another both of them have said that its fine. i wasn't given any cream or gel to apply on it. my scar is a long one and dull red.

thanks ladies. kiwispiers mine is also a keloid scar so i was wondering when it will flatten. i have recently started applying rosehip oil on my strechmarks. thanks beany i'll start applying on the scar too.as for numbness i'll goto the doctor again in some time. its been 5 months since last visit :) Can I ask what kind of doctor you saw for this? Did you go to GP or OBGYN? I need to see one as well as my scar is quite raised and still tingles 10 months after my section... i went to my gynae only.

I have a raised bit but the rest of the scar is pink and its right in the pubic hair line so not noticeable really but it sometimes itches. Mine is 3 years old now and I still have some loos of feeling around it but think that's where the skin stretched so much - I had a monster baby :)

I was just looking at mine recently and marveling at how a baby came out from there! Mine is a thin flat line now, a bit pink still in places but otherwise skin-coloured (10 months later). I was numb in places until about 5 months or so, now it's back to normal. The doctor gave me some silicone gel to apply at the time, which was meant to help the look of the scar, so maybe that worked. You could try rosehip oil on your scar, Angel Joy.

I think we all heal differently, doesn't necessarily imply a problem. Most of my scar healed really quickly but I had about an inch of raised scar (keloid) in the middle which took longer to flatten, after 3 years the rest of my scar is a thin white line, basically invisible and the raised patch is a slightly thicker dull red (no longer raised). I never had any numbness though.

hi i had my CS 10 months ago, it healed pretty well.. slight scar and can't even notice it anymore.. i stil have a bit of numbness and that might last quite a long time.. when i left the hospital they gave me meebo to apply and that was great.. no redness whatsoever..
