i have been giving him yoghurt for over a month now and he loves it so much that even if i give him twice he happily eats all. i buy from spinneys, glenisk brand which does not contain any sugar. 4 small pots costs around 15 dhs which is quite expensive. can i give him low fat yoghurt which we use at home and chop some fruits into that for flavour? he is 10 months old.

My DD is 16 months now and i give her whatever full fat yogurt available at home. When she was younger I gave her organic plain yogurt whenever i could find it (19 aed). As mogindubai said, you can mix it with fruits and it tastes great.

don't give him anything low fat at this age, babies need full fat dairy for energy and brain development. full fat plain yoghurt is perfect, you can add your own flavours with fruit purees or pieces, try avocado which is a great foodstuff. I've never given dd anything other than plain yoghurt, ones marketed as baby yoghurts are expensive and full of hidden sugars.
