As soon as they can roll over you can't prevent LO from sleeping on their tummy. But as soon as they can roll over the risk of SIDS gets much smaller anyway because they can't get stuck as easily anymore. DD loves to sleep on her tummy and sleeps much better that way. Only during the first couple of weeks when she couldn't roll back on her back she'd get a bit upset at times. I just left her in her small moses basket a while longer. That way she had not enough space to roll and was ok on her back. Now she rolls all over the place and seems happy to sleep in any position (even when it looks ridiculously uncomfortable to me)

Thanks i have tried to find the special pillows that stop them from rolling but they only advise up to 6 months, will try towels under the sheet tonight. Last night when we went up to DF DD she was on her tummy fast asleep but really dont want her sleeping like this. sorry to ask, but what's the problem with her sleeping on her tummy? DS always slept on his tummy when he was little and not sure, may be coincidence, but he didn't have any colics and tummy pains all his childhood.

try the towels again rolled up on both sides but put under the bed sheet. It works wonders and far cheaper then buying yet another baby item. hope that helps.

Unfortunately nutty it's a phase they all go through... eventually she'll be able to roll back and she'll be happy again :( it's just time...

Short of putting velcro on DD sleeping bag how do i get her to stop rolling over in the night, screaming cause she cant roll back? Tried the towels but she unravels them and gums them, grrr!
