So after losing a baby after 7 months into pregancy, going through fertility treatments, getting pregnant with twins, I've now reached a point where am getting a cerclage (cervical stitch, preventive in my case) placed tomorrow in city hospital. Am only 16+ weeks and have a long and difficult road ahead. Please wish me luck.

Good Luck cp80. I had to have a cerclage done at 14 weeks. I'm now 25 weeks. If you need to talk let me know x x

Good luck CP80 - will be thinking of you. So sorry to hear about your last pregnancy, I'm sure with this procedure everything will be fine this time round. Congratulations on your twins. Back in 2010 I had to have many pre-cancerous cells removed from my cervix, and when I fell pregnant last August my gynae warned that I may need the same procedure as you're having. She's monitored things closely but so far I haven't needed any stitch - I'm just at 7 months now so hoping things will be ok for the remaining weeks. Hope to hear how you get on.x
