Hey there. Just wanted to know if anyone is having as hard a time as me gettin an appointment with Dr Azizunissa .I was scheduled to have my once a month checkup on 27th July and for no apparent reason CITY canceleld the appointment ! When i called them to rschedule they tell me to come on AUGUST 24TH!! a month later!!! And im scheduled to deliver on Sept 20th !! Frankly i was appalld on hearing this. If i were to go on aug 24th like thye were telling me, 2 months would have gone by without a checkup ! It is near to impossible to meet or talk to the doctor without an appointment so i wait for these once a month appointments to ask the dr everything i ve been wonderin about for the past one month and when they just cancel its very disconcerting. They even told me she is booked solid till aug 24th. Which they could have told me if it had been me canceling this appointment in the first place but the fact that THEY cancelled it and then tell me to wait for another month is frankly totally unfair !! I AM SO FRUSTRATED !!
Has anyone delivered with dr. azizunissa? or is anyone currently meeting with her?

if u are due end of september, i am assuming u have a package with them? If you do, then u should call the ob/gyn reception and they are supposed to slot you in as per your weekly appointments as per your package. I used to book all my appointments for every 2 weeks, and then if i had to adjust the dates, they were quite fine with it. I was with Dr. Elsa who is v v busy, but if u have a package, they have to slot u in before u pop!

if you are having trouble getting in to see your Dr you must tell the clerk you are a patient of the Dr's already. Then if you do not have any luck, speak with the nurse for your Dr or if you have the Dr's mobile / email - certainly let them know you can't get in. They did this with Dr Elsa patients... now when I say I am a patient of her's already they seem to find me a much sooner appointment.

I am seing Dr. Azizunisa and I am due this month. She is indeed very busy as the hospital has only 2 female ob-gyn; I was seing previously Dr. Yulya but she moved to another clinic and the remaining doctors at City got even more busy; I was told that there will be another female doctor joining but found out that there will be no new doctor. Some of the appointment clerks are unprofessional. I got an appointment on a particular date (written on the appointment card by the clerk) and when I went to the hospital was told that the date was wrong and my appointment was couple of days later.

I would go to a private doctor and deliver in cityhospital. Just take all ur documents with you. At least you have the guaranty ur doctor will be with u for your delivery. I recommend you dr. Seema highly, she studied and worked for long time in germany and worked for a long time in dubai now. I delivered with her last year, she came from the beginning not when i was about to deliver.she was wonderfull with me and other friends too. She works at medwin on jumeirah beach road, 043955044. They accept direct billing with many insurances. Good luck with your delivery, my son was also born end of september.

This is the number to the gynae clinic at City, tell them you are an existing patient and are due for a follow up: 04 4359806. I found the appt people only give you an early appt if you insist you are an existing patient and require a follow up.

don't panic have u had any problems in your pregnancy? As long as you feel regular movement ... Im due end of September, I've never saw my ob weekly in my last two pregnancies it depends on everyone's circumstances. If u are concerned with anything you can call up and speak to her nurse even request a call back from your doctor.

call the clinic and ask to speak to her nurse rather than speaking with the appt clerks, call every 20 mins till you get through, you should be seeing your OB every 2 weeks and then weekly in the last month in this system.

the doctors at City do tend to be very very busy (i guess it's because their OBGyn ward has very few doctors)... I wanted to get an appnt with Dr. Elsa but told nothing was available till mid october... which is why i then decided to go to Welcare (a sister concern of City)... thankfully there they have relatively more doctors in the OBGyn ward and hence i got an appointment much sooner... and they seem to be quite regular with the appointments (so far at least)... maybe what u should do is book the appnt with the doc u were seeing anyway and in the meantime, to keep ur worries at bay, get a second opinion from another gynaec in another hospital/clinic... if ur insurance covers it why not?! :) u can still deliver at City but do alternative checkups elsewhere
