What classes does your babies/toddlers do and why? Just curious and looking for something new for DD who is 2.5years and we have done lots of different ones. Wondering what other mums do and why?! :)

Nope, Kiddlywinks does several classes on different days and times. I usually do the Sunday morning one at Al Areesh but took a make up class at Motor city ( it was on a Wednesday afternoon). That's kind of a weird way for Little Maestros to run their schedule - not much good if you plan to travel over summer or anything. Do they offer make up or alternative classes? Are they offered by the Kidville people themselves or an independant company do you know?

there is also kindertots, which also takes place in JBR. DD goes to the one in Motor City. We like it, as she is able to burn off a lot of excess energy, and it does not need parent involvement, so I can look after DS. They have other enrichment classes too, and a free trial. http://www.facebook.com/pages/Building-Blocks-Nursery-and-Child-Enrichment-Centre-Dubai/181689365181849?v=wall

Not sure about Kindermusik tbh someone just mentioned it to me a while back and wanted to know more. I've been meaning to trial this for ages as I know several people who think it's fab. They offer a free first class.

Now he goes "na, na. na nose / a a a apple, etc) If you dont like the class you can switch within the 1st 3 classes I think & if you miss a class later you can go for a makeup class (you have upto 3 makeup classes)& you choose any other class for the makeup. & they also hae a refund policy but I dont know the details. HTH xx They had free trial classes but for older kids age 2+ , you can give them a call & check if they have any before the next semester.

Thanks so much for the info wickedangel, when we move i think ill have to give it a go. Also how did you enjoy the art class? I have a 2.5year old too who will need something active during the summer? Also who runs the classes? Anyone tried kindermusik? What is that like? There is a class for siblings called wiggle giggle together. We didnt do any painting at the class as they choose different activities during each class, & painting wasnt part of the class activities that day. They have a team of instructors from different nationalities (Asians & westerners) & all are very nice. Where is kindermusik?

Hi Leshell. Little Maestros is a music class. They start by introducing the kids, then they do some singing, dancing & moving around, then they give the kids toy instruments (shakers, rattles, etc) to join the band. Then they introduce a letter with some words, a story, a puppet show, then another song. At the end they blow some bubbles for the kids to follow. It's a nice class. We also went for a run, wiggle, paint & giggle trial class & it was fun but it's only for toddlers. Wee wiggle giggle is similar but for babies. It's basically a play time with toys suitable for babies then a music & singing time. It's less stimulating than little maestros when it comes to noise & using instruments. They only use the guitar while singing. xx

Hi Wickedangel we are actually moving to JBR in 3 weeks so how do you find Kidville? Is the little maestros classes mainly instruments, the kids have them ect? What other classes do they have? Anyone else tried other classes? Was thinking baby classes too? I have a 5month old but dont want her to be too overstimulated.

DS is 17 months. We go to Little Maestros classes at kidville & so far I'm happy with the classes. We'r planning to go for a different class next semester once they start their Mirdiff branch. DS loves music & dancing this is why we went for this class. I'm also planning to try Kiddlywinks next week.

Babyarabia is another one I was thinking of doing but that may not interest you if your family is not of an Arab background.

Awsome, what is Tiny talk and where is that? What do they do? Never heard of it, but also we love kiddlywinks too. :) Tiny Talk is not around anymore. I was just using it as a comparison to Kiddlywinks.

I do Kiddlywinks because my DD loves it. I used to do Tiny Talk and I did not like it at all because my DD was completely disinterested. I can see my DD has a great fondness for Kiddlywinks.
