Thanks for the posts, will call the docs to find out.
Just asked medcare, if I didn't want Dr Wafa (because I heard she isn't very pro-natural), if I could change to Dr Luthra and the answer I got was:
"Doctors don't like it if you change at the last minute because it upsets the filing system!
So I said, does that mean I must take a doc who doesn't agree with my birth plan, just so her filing system isn't disrupted? If that is the case I will go to another hospital!
The answer was we will discuss it at my next apptment"
What a load of rubbish, honestly!
Dr Yuliya Mikhael from Cooper. She was previously at City. I had an emergency C section with her in the beginning of August. She's brilliant! Can't say enough good things about her in general. I know choosing an obs whose general attitude and bedside mAnner you like is a very personal choice coz people vary so much in what they're looking for. Shes very balanced - between chilled out and cautious. No unnecessary tests and panic. As for the actual procedure shes very talented. I've been up and about since the day after my surgery. Planned to write a proper birth report on the delivery but haven't got around to it! Let me know if you need more info though and I'll give it to you.
Dr Ekaterina at Infinity Clinic does I believe. I liked her and had a couple of appts with her when she was at City Hospital.
Dr Natalya from Cooper Clinic.
Dr Koster from HealthBay Polyclinic (although not sure if Dr. Koster still does as that was info from over a year ago.
I'm sure there are more, but that's all I know of.
My doctor, Dr Shiva, is on leave and when she gets back, she has no apptments available for a few weeks. I am almost 36 weeks and not sure if I will see her till after 38.5 weeks or I may have delivered by then.
Does anyone know other Obs who deliver at Medcare? Not Wafa, Azza, Luthra etc, but from other clinics or something. Getting desperate now...
TIA
