No, it doesn't go away. It just turns into baby bump rather than bloat ;) I had people get up for me on the metro when I was only 16 weeks pregnant I was so bloated...

It will go away but then the 2nd trimester back pain and the 3rd trimester heartburn will start. Don't mean to frighten you but there's so many different things that happen in different ways to different mommies but they do all subside eventually. And then once the pregnancy is over the new born sleep deprivation begins. :) Please don't take this the wrong way, just trying to make you smile! edited by Chi2dxb on 23/07/2013 haha chi2dxb.. and i thought bloating was just bad enough... sigh! Haha. I think the pregnancy and birth, even at their worst, are much easier than the long haul of sleepless nights. Then the terrible twos, the tantruming threes, the independant 4's, the list goes on!!

I am 21 weeks along with my first and I also experienced the worst bloating of my life in the first trimester. My husband insisted on taking belly pictures early on and I look more pregnant at 9 weeks due to bloating than I do now (those pictures are under lock and key ... so awful). The good news is that the bloating and discomfort seemed to go away from about 10 weeks. Then the belly started growing due to the baby at around 19 weeks, so there were two months of feeling normal again. Hope things start feeling better for you soon!!
