DS ( child # 4) is 10 weeks old & I've been clucky for weeks!
I *LOVE* babies ( strangely the first 6 weeks are my favourite)

I'm just wondering if these feelings will ever pass, or am I destined to be desiring more babies until my ovaries start to wither & die....lol

I only have 1, but definitely want more and the thought of only having one more pragnancy makes me want to cry!!!! I can see myself with 3 and maybe more! Then again I didnt have to push my first one out so this my be the decider if I do have to have a natural birth in future..... After a natural you will want more, believe me! I had my first via c section and my second was a VBAC...as scary as it was, it was THE most wonderful experience and one I'm just dying to experience all over again. Oh gosh...did i really just say that out loud? OOPS!!! Really? It absolutely terrifies me! I think because the c-sec was so quick and easy, no labour pains and I was healed in a couple of weeks, anything different to that just scares me senseless. I'm repared to give it a go though, I just don't understand how we can possible get a baby out, I guess its got to be experienced to understand :S Oh I was absolutely terrified up until D day. Every time I met with my OBS she would have to reassure me and prebooked various C section dates heading up to my Due date just incase I was going to chicken out. She knew how badly I wanted a VBAC though, so she always gave me reassurance of mine and my bodies ability to birth my baby. I also had a doula who was amazing. So I think these 2 ladies played a major part in making the birthing experience a wonderful one...but it was NO doubt an absolutely amazing feeling from start to finish. Yes, the contractions hurt like H3LL...that's what an epidural is for;-) all the fears I had went away as soon as the tightenings started and I realized I was about to meet my little boy. And when you hold that precious little baby in your arms...you know the feeling ;-) go for it. You CAN do it!!! Very reassuring that I can do it in the future. My D was breech, so much so that she couldnt be turned even through ECV. Maybe the next one will be more co-operative! Check me out planning my next birth when I'm not even pregnant yet!!

DD is 13 months old and the thought of trying for another is slowly taking hold in my mind. I have been advised to wait until the end of this year. I really really want a full term pregnancy!!! Feel cheated that the last one ended as it did (got the most awesome kid out of it though!) My husband is not a 100% convinced he wants another (DD not sleeping through the night yet might have something to do with it) edited by kcinthecity on 30/03/2011

Oh I don't know, I'm 33 weeks pregnant with my second and to be honest deep down I'm kind of feeling really sad that I won't feel this again(we planned to have 2) With my first I started to get broody again when he was 2, but somhow waited till he was 4 to 'go for it' and now I feel like I may want to be pregnant again and have more, but lets see if I will be singing that song when this little one arrives! Maybe we may just have an 'accident' if I'm still wanting another after this one is born(evil grin)

My DH wants me to charge the video camera and make a recording while I'm sleep deprived and exhausted saying that I definitely don't want more babies - he's sure down the track I'll want "just one more"!!! :)

oh, I'm wondering the same thing! My head's telling me "no more" but the rest of me is going "awww, just one more waffer thin baby!"... but I suspect it's just because I love giving birth so much, rather than actually liking children. I'm only on 2 though! 4?! Wow.
