Hi all, ok so i am just wondering who here gives there toddlers vitamins? If so which ones and why? My DD who is 3 in August has a relatively varied diet consisting of fruits, vegies, milk, bread, yoghurt, organic bars, some sweets, rice ect. But now im thinking does she need a multivitamin too and she dosnt have alot of oily fish so where to get her omega 3 from? Flax seeds/ meal is suppose to be a good alternative however i have no idea about how to cook this? Incorporate it into meals? Can i put it into a smoothie type drink perhaps would this be the easiest? Thoughts and advice please.

DH bought it but didn't check the ingredients. DD is allergic to one of the ingredients. We would love to give it to someone who will make good use of it. Let me know if you want it please.

Flaxseed, flaxseed oil & flaxseed milled are excellent sources of nutrition. For my LO I add a teaspoon to a smoothie, or add into the yogurt, on her cereal.

the eggs we buy are somehow fortified with omega/flaxseed. I also sprinkle the ground flaxseed powder onto my weetabix every morning so you can't taste it.

smoothie type drink from omega 3 capsule would be yucky! although be careful in giving capsules. i read somewhere that not all capsule brands are safe to take because of possible mercury or selenium content in that. sorry can't provide you with link as i don't rem myself. just google it. ah we googlers :) what to do without it!

oo... cod liver oil! Anyhow, yes, we've got some multi-vitamins in the cupboard, brought over from the UK (not helpful, I know) but I'm shockingly bad a remembering to give them. I don't think it really, really matters which type you give them, or even if you give them any at all - the best thing is the varied and balanced diet you're already providing!
