Mine came back at 11 months, and it's much heavier and last's longer than it used to be and the PMS is awful. What is with that???? Why are we all saying it is sooo much worse after the baby!!!!

Came back after 12 weeks and I was breastfeeding exclusively, had a couple of periods then they stopped again for a few more months but I still got the monthly mood swings...

Mine came back a few weeks after the post-partum bleeding ended. Yeah, thanks for that! And as if that wasn't enough, they are now horrendously painful and ridiculously heavy. I am waiting for someone to jump out and say, "Hey, you've been had!" - I honestly feel like nature's having a laugh with my body since I got pregnant and had a baby! And ETA: I used to have cycles between 28 and 35 days long and periods of only three days max. I had a period on December 10, and another one started on December 31 and went on for ten days. Thank you yet again, body. edited by DubaiCat on 14/01/2011

Mine came back at 5months - I was hoping to start charting again but looks like my cycles are super long (even longer than they were pre-preg) and they are also anovulatory ... (I was hoping that when they returned that I would suddenly lose weight but no such luck ... looks like my bfing flab is here to stay for as long as I bfeed! My periods came back a year after DD1 was born and they too were anvolulatory until DD was almost two years old. I only began ovulating once I dropped most of the feeds. Sounds pretty normal to me.

Mine came back at 9 months. I had it for three months, then did not get another one for 9 more months. I have now had 4 heavy periods in 6 weeks and I am still breastfeeding but a lot less nowadays.

I didn't get mine back until I'd finished bf-ing, so 1 year for DD and about the same for DS... happy days!
