I am just looking at the ELC brochure, and if she likes all things girlie, under 'art and creativity' they have the following items: Make your own masquerade masks Sew your own rag doll Decorate your own secret keeper Make your own butterfly windchime Make your own jewellery kit Decorate your own straw bag Decorate your own cupcake trinket box Make your onw bead jewellery These are all in the AED 59 to AED 79 budget. If you want to spend more, they have a ballgown, a princess outfit, a ballet dress and several fairy dresses. Mind you, if she is turning 5 now these dresses are all for 3 to 6 year olds. I am sure I have also seen quite a good variety of the art and creativity things at Carrefour.

You could get her some arts and craft stuff: glitter, glitterglue, different painting materials (paints and brushes, water colors, coloured pencils, crayons, maybe oil pastels), sheets of nice stickers, glue, coloured carton paper, colored and patterened paper (daiso has packs all kinds of papers for origami but can also be used for whatever else) thicker paper for water coloring, maybe a nice painting smock.... I have a girl in that age range and all of this are a big hit at our house. you could get a bit of everything and make a nice gift basket. Places to look for stuff include daiso, LuLu , also geant and c4, borders. ELC does arts and craft stuff but I personally find them overpriced in that area. Ikea have some paints and crayons that go with the easle they sell (also a nice gift, but not sure if you want to spend that much)
