Sorry to hear your little one is unwell again DebsDebs. Mold is definitely not good for any of you and if that is the problem, you'd have to find the source of it. Try calling EPSCO - I have recommended them on here before as they are very thorough and will come and put a moving camera down your A/C ducts and show you the before and after pictures. I have no idea if they can deal with mold but no harm in calling them and asking them to come do a free inspection. Let me warn you that their actual AC cleaning service is not cheap but they do say you only have to get that type of intense cleaning done once a year or every two years so for me it was worth it. You can call them on 04 8804670
DD is now 5 months old and has yet another chest and ear infection. Poor thing was coughing and wheezing terribly when she woke up this morning so I took her to the ped who once again prescribed her Ventolin and put her on a nebulizer.
DD's bedroom AC started smelling of mould some 3-4 weeks ago so we immediately called in a AC 'expert' to clean the filter and service the motor. We called him back the following day as the AC unit was still giving off a terrible damp/mouldy smell. In spite of the two 'services' it still gives off the same smell when we first turn it on so I tend to give it a good blast thirty mins or so before DD's bedtime in an attempt to avoid putting her in bed when the smell is quite so prevalent.
Has anyone else's LO had continued chesty cough and wheezing from suspected AC issues? What did you do?
Can anyone recommend a professional AC servicing company who work in the Springs area?
I'm so worried about DD I don't even feel comfortable putting her back in her room....
Thank you ladies x
