my DD never did - wouldn't have it in her mouth - but I didn't push it because I didn't need to. My MiL however, gave some sound advice - if you really want to get her to feed from a bottle, get someone else to do it, because when you're around, she's reminded of how nice breasts are! Apparently one of my nieces wouldn't take the bottle, so her mother left her for a weekend at MiL's and MiL cracked it. It's obviously easier on your too if you're not around because we are programmed to want to feed our babies when we hear them cry.
adaevans, you just have perceiver and keep on trying. I like you not had much luck. :( But my sister swears if you keep on trying it works, as her baby takes both a bottle and BF. At first like your baby, her baby just just screamed, cried etc, then, took it but gagged and eventually she got hang of it. Took several weeks, but she tried to give her baby the bottle couple times a day with small amount, like 1 oz, and also gave sterilised water when she couldn't be bothered to express. Don't use to much force, when the baby starts crying stop, and try another time.
Also try to get hubby to give baby the bottle, apparently BF babies , when held by their mum only expect their feed from that special place! Anyway best of luck.
