omg i am freaking out... il take him to the hospital.. i live in JBR where is city hospital? i am googling it now Dont freak out it will be fine those temperature thingy’s are always wrong. That’s why you get a different reading every time. Give him nurofen and take him to the ER. Give him a drink of cool bolied water and put him in some light cotton clothes (you don’t want him to shiver as it raises the temp) Good luck, I hope he feels better soon xx

And to reply to your question : American Hospital is easier to find than City hospital. Both good as far as I know. You can call them in advance to tell them you will arrive. Sometime, it helps (American Hospital) I have their number, and if you really need, I can help you and drive you there. You sounds quite freaked out right now, so not best time to drive.... Your DH is not here ?

fullymine, calm down. It's ok. First give him a bath and monitor him. If you feel more confortable, you can call a doctor that will come to your place. Remember that an hospital is also a place where a lot of sick people are...be sure you it's worth to expose your baby to that. Do you have a pediatric doctor for your baby ? Can't you call him/her ? It will be best

It is in HealthCare City. It is right next door to Wafi Mall. If you are unsure get a taxi, they will know where it is. Sorry don't know any other hospitals that are closer with ER dept

Ok, I was writing something, telling you not to panick at all, as at his age, your should call the doctor from 39.4C. So wait a little bit more. One way, very effective to bring down the fever it to give him a bath. So if he is 39C, give him a bath around 38C, and play in it with him, while checking on his temperature. Also, it's normal that the temperature raise in the evening. And what's more important, it's how your baby act : did he eat, does he have energy ? read the following page : conscise and good advices : http://www.babycenter.com/0_fever_84.bc

If you gave him calpol 4 hours ago you can now him nurofen (which is much better at reducing a fever) What other symptoms does he have?

and its his bed time now, i dont know what to do! since you have already given him calpol, just moniter his temperature, keep him cool, if it goes too high again, wrap him in a wet towel and take him to the hospital, i hope he hasnt developed a cold coz there seems to be an outbreak.
