This thread was so worrying. I hope Roxrox comes back to tell us how her child is. I hope she is ok. Personally I would defnitely take her to get a once over and be sure to mention the child went unconscious.

I am a recently retired nurse. Any head injury resulting in being knocked out, even briefly, vomiting, being vague or drowsiness, must be checked out. I'm sure that your LO will be fine but please take her to hospital for checking. As someone else said, CPR is only given if breathing/heart stops. Did this happen or did you mistake your child's passing out for respiratory/cardiac arrest?

As recommended, take her to Rashid. Out of curiosity, I have fainted many times, but fainting does not require CPR.Rhy did you feel itr necessary to give her CPR? You do not stop breathing when you faint, you just lose conciousness. Did she stop breathing?

Roxrox, sorry to hear about the fall, i didnt see your post last night. Im talking from experience with private and public hospitals, take her for a scan in Rashid in the morning, she should be watched for at least 24 hours, hopefully she's fine but as the OP said you can't be overreacting when it comes to babies. American hospital is soooo bad when it comes to ER, they charged our insurance 8000 for the few ours DD stayed there before they transferred her to Rashid as they were useless and didn't have the staff to deal with her case. Them and all private hospitals might be good only for delivering babies and nothing more. Rashid and latifa are very good and very well equipped especially when it comes to pediatric care. I pray she's fine please let us know she is she doing.

Roxrox, You could try giving the Saudi German hospital a ring and speak to one of the docs on duty. It's up near Lulus, not far from Marina in car. 04 3890000 http://www.sghdubai.org/sghdubai/ edited by Alismum on 21/11/2013

I'm no expert but in my opinion I would wake her and take her to hospital. I'm not sure which one - we live in Satwa so I'm not sure which one is closest to you with an Emergency room. I always use American hospital as our insurance covers it. I've heard that Rashid hospital is an excellent government hospital.

I personally would take her to hospital as soon as possible. She's only little and was unconscious and had CPR? To me, personally, there's no question about it. Take her. You can never be too careful with little ones and head injuries. Hope she's better soon.
