Hi all
I have been confirmed as a high risk pregnancy as the doctors are concerned about my cervix ie worried it might be weak.
Can anyone recommend a doctor/clinic/hospital in Dubai that is best suited to monitor my pregnancy and needs incase I needed a stitch
Thanks

I would recommend Dr. Elsa at City Hospital. She is well experienced with high risk pregnancies.

I agree FZA. This is my third pregnancy with Dr Tazyeen and I've always been very happy with her. She actually listens which is a nice change from some doctors and I've always found her very sensitive to my personal beliefs and fears. My current pregnancy has been high risk and she has always been available and gone out of her way to speak to me/see me immediately when I've had problems. I go to her Motor City clinic and her nurse and receptionist there are also excellent.

I recommend Dr. Tazyeen Faisal (she sits at Medgate in Jumeirah as well as has her own clinic in Motor City). She proved to be God sent miracle /savior for me.I had two failed IVFs and then two miscarriages after high risk pregnancies and was told by numerous doctors that I cannot have a baby. I then saw Dr. Tazyeen 2 years ago. She did the right tests and diagnosis for me and gave me right guidance and medicines. When I got pregnant she monitored me continuously and was extremely careful and cautious with me and the pregnancy. She took care of me like her own daughter (but ofcourse very professional at same time). I had high risk pregnancy because of my age, low estrogen as well as gestational diabetes and blood clotting. She gave me the right care and saved the baby and because of her extremely excellent care I have a healthy baby daughter now. Lot of high risk pregnancy (whichever factor it might be) patients come to Dr. Tazyeen Faisal. She delivered my baby via c-section at American Hospital and came to check on me and changed my dressing everyday.... even on weekend! She also did excellent follow-up checkups. I trust Dr. Tazyeen Faisal completely for her medical expertise as well as appreciate her caring and hard working personality. She works day and night and even on holidays for her patients.. out of care. I recommend her to all my friends and family.

I have an incompetent cervix and the only doctor who was willing to save my baby at 24 weeks was Dr. Azizunissa at City hospital. You will need a stitch at 12 weeks and also get your cervix measured periodically also please try to take it easy with a weak cervix although not proven modified bed rest helps a lot during such pregnancies. There is also a incompetent cervix board on babycenter which is quite helpful. Edited to add I got a cerclage done the stitch was successful but I have another complication so had to deliver pre term. edited by sami on 02/01/2013
