I went to Al Badaa clinic behind SHang-ri-la. Are you already assigned to a clinic? Not sure how they work, but they may send you to a different clinic depending where you live. Call them, 5081000. It can often take a few calls to get an appointment but once you get through to someone helpful, they are great. I was always book for first appt to get seen with no wait. All the mandatory govt vaccines are free, the only one I had to pay for was prevanar, Dhs 300 each time, you may have to pay for varicella too, not sure if that is a mandatory one. You also get a bottle of calpol./adol free.

It is really easy, no forms, got the kids vaccinated the other week and renewed their health cards at the same time, took their passports, DEWA bill and photos, they did the cards whilst the kids were getting vaccinated. Saved myself a small fortune using the government clinic for vaccinations.

Thank you. I guess I'll have to work myself up to get our health cards done. We all had them but mine and one of the children's were in my wallet when it was nicked a few years ago and I've not got round to getting them redone!

It is free at the government clinics, for anyone with a health card. edited by RebeccaS on 11/07/2011
