glowingcandle the course i did was with certified hypnobirthing practitioner, Jasmine Collin who can be reached on [email protected]
i agree it's probably a wee bit late but i'd say it would still be worth checking out the book with relaxation CD.
jasmine is part of a group called "Be Empowered" who you can find on facebook. i went along to one of their open nights and met jasmine and some great doulas, reflexologists etc there.
actually i just jumped on their page and they have an open night tonight (tues 16) at inspire nursery from 6.30-8. maybe check it out, it's a low key introduction to the concepts of natural birthing and they may be able to advise some options and might sell the books there.
best of luck!
Glowing Candle, I am doing a hypnobirthing course this weekend that is a more intensive course over 2 days. The lady that runs it is trained in the Natal Hypnotherapy method I think rather than Marie Mongan. The course is 1700AED I think. Let me know if you want her details. There are also books and CDs you can buy from the Natal Hypnotherapy website or amazon I think.
Can you give me more details on the course ...I'm already 32 weeks n with eid holidays coming up..I doubt I would want to commit to a 6 week course. But would you recommend getting books n CDs alone? Thanks!
i've just finished a 6 week hypnobirthing course w jasmine and thought it was fantastic. though i've still got a few weeks to go i find i am more calm, prepared and excited about the arrival of baby 2.
we bought our first marie mongan book (uk version) on amazon which comes with a relaxation cd but then we were given the US copy in the class included in the course price which we referenced throughout.
the book is fantastic and a real eye opener to the whole process but i'd really recommend doing a course if you want your husband to be your bc (birth companion). it was such a special experience for my dh and i and well worth it.
