Pretty much what the subject says. What age/weight will the IKEA Antilop highchair last until? We were thinking of having the grandparents get one for when we were there in the summer as they are also expecting another grandchild it will be used later when they to visit. However DS will be 1 in the summer and am pretty sure he will fit but wanted to check first.

I don't know what the specific manufacturers recommendations are, but we have one (BEST budget highchair out there I think! ;) ) and my 13kg, 17month old, tall, chubby girl is very comfortable in it. In fact, when my 26kg almost 6yr old thinks no-one is watching, he climbs in looking for a reaction. ;) My middle girl used it until she was over 2yrs and little miss will be in there as long as I can use it to contain the mess. :D It's very stable, very strong and safe WITH close supervision as it has no decent harness. If it's available, the tray is a cheap must-have. That way the chair can be used anywhere in the house or clip the tray off and push the chair up to the table with the family. ETA - stores easily too as you can pull the legs off and tuck it all away in a cupboard. edited by Green-ish on 11/04/2011
