Hello ladies

I changed my doctor and I can delivery either city hospital or intenational
Modern hospital.

My previous dr. Purnima is nice, but I find dr. Nirmala nicer :) so, will stick with her till delivery :)

With regards to mternity ward/services? Which is better?
City or IMH?

Do they all private rooms? Or depends on the room availability?

I heard that IMH have two rooms each (one for the mother and one for the guess) not sure though if this is across all maternity ward.

We will have a tour next Saturday but would appreciate if you can share your experiences

Thanks

Thanks... I chose city hospital as this is nearer to my place. Had a great experience with them :)though room is smaller than IMH and no separate room for visitor but I still find it nice and cosy :) edited by Hassli on 08/11/2012

Hi all! I know that City hospital is well staff. Dr. Koster has a day a week where she sees her patients there. She's been here for a long time and is fantastic. She delivers patients at City as well. I've been in touch with her via email and her email signature has a link to her facebook page. I've pasted it in for your info as I don't want to give out her email address: www.facebook.com/DrKosterDubai Good luck!

oh i posted on this :( guess late night i forgot to click on the add message button. i went to city and IMh both. its better you go and check the suites of both the hospital. i was with dr nirmala too.and she is very good. you ask her first as she wasn't renewing her licsensefor IMH i think. i choose IMh as it was near to my house, just walking distance. staff was amazing there. always smiling and ready to do what i ask. the labour room was a bit small but at the time of labour you don't know anything else :) after delievery for me to recover thay used to take my son to nursery but i use to buzz constantly to bring him back . the staff wasn't irritated by my buzzing and believe me i was quite persistent. thirdly, my insurance was easily covering IMH, we had to pay only 300 dhs balance ( c-section) they have 2 suites there- junior and royal. you might want to check both city and IMH before deciding. all the best in deciding.

Even bigger than American Hospital. So, you can have your own private room while your guests can chill at their own lounge while still being in the same room. Not sure about City, perhaps other posters can help.
