thank you, i'll check Mr Bens out, if they dont have i'll head to Satwa for the material, but how long do you think a tailor will take to stitch it. my DD needs it for this thursday and she's quite excited about it.
Google Mermain Pattern for children and it comes up with heaps of stuff. You can get cheap blue/green sparkly material here at the cheap shops and it is literaly an elasticated waste tube with a tail style at the back - simple. Pair it witha kiddie bikini top or bathers and she is sorted. You can always dress it up with a shell necklace etc too.
I'd get a tailor in Satwa to knock one up for me - I have no sewing skills like janesul who whipped up the most amazing roman outfit for her little girl - some of us have it - some don't!
I think I've seen a mermaid outfit at Mr Bens that you can buy too.
They have fantastic fabric in Satwa that would make the best mermaid costume! It's sparkly and has big sequin discs on.
Make a skirt with a 'tail' and wear it over a swimming costume and voila!
