Thanks so much for thinking of me! :) And that's really, really helpful. I did have a quick google of 'space between placenta and uterus wall' as that's what the first doctor I saw told me, but this is far more useful as it turns out it's not 'space' but the edge coming away. That's made my day! x
Morning. Was just reading a pregnancy magazine (ridiculously early at 5 weeks 4 days I know (especially with my history) but couldn't help myself) and saw a bit about bleeding.... An obstetrician says "it's often seen in healthy pregnancies. [At your stage'> its the developing placenta attaching to the uterus and releasing some maternal blood in the process. At 12 weeks the placenta is not invading so aggressively and bleeding is more commonly associated with just a small area that has separated from the uterine wall. The placenta is more than big enough to provide plenty of nourishment and a small area of separation usually does not enlarge and has no impact on your baby's growth or development." Am sure you'll know all this but just made me think of you and thought it was reassuring. Hope you're doing OK today. x
