DD was diagnosed with this this morning. Apparently its going around. She is basically refusing all food (which she normally loves!). Dr prescribed her electrolyte drink to give her to replace the nutrients etc that she is losing but what other good food should i be trying with her?
so far today she has had a banana and a biscuit and some milk.

Giggles' suggestions are good, also, you can try with bread sticks, and oh it is better to stick to lactose free milk. Hope you LO feels better soon!

If they don't want to eat, it's ok as long as they are taking fluids (and not just the electrolytes). Sounds like you are doing all the right things for her. Try small amounts of banana, rice, apple and toast. Bananas and rice are binding foods and will help with any diarrhea. Try mashed banana on dry toast. Or grate an apple, allow it to go brown. Mix in a little sugar and cinnamon to taste and eat slowly. Both of these have natural pectin in them that bind the stomach and intestines. Hope she feels better soon.
