hi newdubaimomma congrats to you!! im 8 weeks today with twins also done at fakih,,, im so super excited!!!:biggrin: I have had the odd spotting days which makes me nervous so taking each day as it comes wishing you all the best :heart: That's awesome!!! We've probably seen each other there lol! Who was your dr? Mine is Dr Ghina. I was there today BC I had some spotting today. All was ok, babies still alive, I had a progesterone shot today and going to do them this week. Have they found the cause of your spotting?

Hi, I wondered how people have found Bourn Hall recently if they have been for IVF treatment? I went in 2013 for IUI which failed, but the staff were really good. Went back in Jan this year for IVF and was not impressed at all. Nurses didn't give any support or useful information. Luckily I had done all of my own research so knew what to expect, but surely they should be explaining every step of the treatment to the patient. Reception staff were all over the place and they all just seem unhappy and fed up. Seems that there is a high turnover of staff as didn't recognize anyone there from my previous visit. Just wondering why people seem to leave so often. Needless to say the treatment didn't work. All was going really well and the embryo stopped developing on day 3 before the transfer. they think it was a sperm problem, although my husband's tests have always been fine. They froze some eggs so we are due to go back in April to try again after my husband being on supplements and a health kick for the past 3 months. Dr. David didn't seem very positive and I felt we couldn't get a straight answer out of him about why the embryo stopped developing and if it would be worth us trying again. I feel that they are always going to tell you to try again just so they can get more money out of you. It's such a hard process so would appreciate if anyone can share their views with me on BH. I am tempted to try Fakih but as I have eggs at BH may as well give them another go. Thanks

Hi ladies can I join your group pse. I'm currently on my 5th ivf cycle at Fakih ivf chasing baby number two. It will be nice to chat to other people going thru the same thing. I'm on day 9 of stims, on the highest dose of menopur and feeling pretty rough with it! Thinking ER may be early next week sometime, to be honest can't wait for it all to be over! Rose25: So sorry to hear about that. Praying that things will go better next time around. Praying8: Keep your chin up... it's been a long ride for me too. I've just addopted a puppy to keep myself busy till DH comes around to the idea of the whole process, ha! Newdubaimomma: It was the same for me post-egg retrieval! Had to steal DH heavy pain medicine (which he was given due to a torn tricept muscle.... gym rat ;) ) and that help immensely.

Well, I saw most of you going with Fakih clinic,,,I called them for an appt and the lady told me about Dr Bohaira as the other dr Amal for whom I was looking is at leaves...so anybody there have any exp with her? Or anyother lady dr there? I m also interested to go to Dr Asma Munir at Conceive Sharjah and had heard some good things about her. Anyone with any exp?? Please share... Thanks all.

Well I cant start my cycle cuz hubby is not available for 10 days during the period when he would be required(going abroad for some official work).I am not sure how to deal with this depression as I was so much excited n happy that finally this would be the month that we will try. Hey all sorry for dropping off of the face of the earth! Egg collection was quite painful afterwards, in the US they give you good drugs, here it was just Panadol afterwards. Ugh. Anyway we had 8 eggs retrieved, 5 fertilized, and 4 made it to blast! The best 2 were transferred on 2/19. Blood test this Friday so fingers crossed please!! Good luck to all. Xxoo

Praying8: I think the prolonged pain may be my body's way of saying it doesn't like general anesthesia as I got really bad heart burns after my laproscopic surgery due to an ectopic pregnancy. Yes that's right, you do have to go in on the second day of your cycle and they check to see how strong your injections should be (as they don't want to overstimulate you) and do the first round on the same day. Newdubaimomma: I cant wait to hear the results from your egg retrieval! They were able to retrieve 7 of mine but only 5 were mature. Hoping to use them later in the year... fingers crossed.

Hi everyone, I had my IUI done yesterday. As Dr. Marikinti was away, Dr. Roya did my IUI. She was too good as well. She told me that my cervical mucus is much thicker than normal. Probably thats reason why i couldn't get pregnant. Dr told me to walk in after 2 weeks for hcg test. Hoping for a positive reply. Prayers and best wishes for all!!

Hello everyone, Today my appointment went quite well in a way that USG findings were all ok.Blood tests were given (Thyroid,prolactin levels n AMH). Discussed everything with Dr Monika n she suggested that HSG findings are not so widely n fully helpful in diagnosing in tubal blockage.as I have one tube open so I can first try natural or otherwise IUI.Ivf should be the last option.But I told her that we have been trying already for quite long time n we have made up our minds for Ivf. I asked her about choices of mini IVF or full Ivf....to which she suggested that whenever we want to start the treatment ,I should go back on 2nd day of cycle n then they will decide by checking on USG n hormone levels what will be my option. So now will wait for my 2nd day n then will go for the start of treatment. Loads of best wishes n prayers for all of us.
