I'm 30 weeks pregnant now and last night we went out to a friends birthday party that was catered for by a resturant(which one im not sure)
Anyway I ate what everyone else but to be honest when the main meals were being served at about 6ish I was not hungry so I only ate at about 8ish. The food was still warm. Anyway long story short we left party after 10, got home and I went to bed.
I woke up at 2am coz my tummy felt a bit rough and I thought I would throw up. went to the bathroom, threw up all the food and some. As bad as it sounds it was coming out from both ends! This carried on the whole night. I've been sipping on water, but throw that up too, had some toast, but that has come up. I feel weak and my tummy is cramping badly.
Baby is moving around, I've felt her wriggle and kick, but I'm so worried that whatever I have is going to affect her. I dont know if I have food posioning or just have a bug, but I'm more concerned for my little one. Should I go to the doc, or just ride it out?
Have any of you had similar and your babies been ok?

I got sick when I was about 16 weeks and my doc here said babies are like little parasites, and will take everything you have and then some - to the point of killing you - before they let anything happen to them! Definitely get a check-up to be on the safe side but I always reassured myself with this little gem so I thought I'd share it with you :).

Good to check with your doc, but just to reassure you, a friend of mine got very bad food poisoning when she was 30 weeks pregnant and the doc said her baby would be absolutely fine. She just had to keep up with her water intake so she didn't dehydrate. Hope you feel better very soon!!

Did anyone else at the party get sick too? That might tell you if it was the food. Either way get it checked out-better than sitting at home worrying. Hope you feel better soon.
