Any mums recently noticed the decline in quality of papmers? Have been using them for 3 years+ and recently had two packs of misprinted and cheaper quality - more leaks. So much for the SASO quality mark.

Which brand do you use?

Ooh I've taken photos! They're awfully plastic size 3 active misprinted crinkly buggers! Pampers have probably sold their name to the factory in Saudi I think, which makes them like other brands such as comfort, Kleenex... It's sad that the brand is being sold and quality compromised compared to what we should get... I am a sucker for brands but only the ones that genuinely do give me the quality I'm happy with... I'm gonna send my complaint to someone somewhere anyway coz they're horrible I used to like taking out pampers n seeing the cute pics each time this time they're just ugly (sad I know!) thank god little mans not complaining!

What I have noticed is that quality here goes up and down depending on the shipment they receive in the supermarkets. We are in pampers active boy only for the night time and there have been times when a whole batch of pampers just leaks and every morning he is wet. Then for months we are fine and have no issues. I have no idea if they ship them from different countries, hence different qualities. I just know that when we have a good batch I usually go back quickly to buy an additional 3 bags. In Europe I like the Huggies but over here I find them quite stiff and papery (dont know if that is a word). Going to try the "organic" hubbies for new baby so will find out if they are better or not. Now it makes sense.....I never thought it was a problem with the pampers. This week LO had leaks two nights in a row and every other month the same happens. I thought it odd as she has the same amount of food and drink...

Am a Huggies fan too. Have bought thm in Europe and Oz and must agree that the quality is not as good here but still the best I have tried. Used Pampers at the beginning until crystals started leaking out ...

I use Huggies and find them really good. Never had any leaks and they are very absorbent. They aren't the same quality as the Huggies back in Australia but overall I have been very happy with them. I have used pampers on occasion and they have also been ok but perhaps I just got a good batch.

Also not v happy with Pampers...I liked the organic huggies but they are only for young babies (they go up to size 3 but even that is near impossible to find in supermarkets) so not a long term solution...C4 were good, I tried them. I also tried Sanita Bambi which I didn't like at all (too thick and plasticky) and one more brand I don't remember the name of now. I generally find Pampers premium to be better than Pampers Active but I don't like the fit of either very much.

In Europe I like the Huggies but over here I find them quite stiff and papery (dont know if that is a word). Going to try the "organic" hubbies for new baby so will find out if they are better or not. made me giggle Kenza :D so far i have not faced such problems with pampers. Ds is allergic to huggies(always gets rashes as soon as huggies are put) so i am always worried for the diapers. During the day i use cloth diapers and at night pampers pull up pants. they are costly then the others so i am thinking of buying normal ones for the trips outside during the day...but putting them is a pain with a wriggly baby on changing table who is ready to jump!! i have heard C4's own brand is very good and reasonable. but i have not found small packets for trial and error first. has anyone used them? edited by angel joy on 31/08/2013
