Hi Ladies, just wondering if anyone had tried any Shapewear to help with the tummy after baby is born? Has anyone used the belly bandit or would you recommend an alternative? I need to find something I can purchase in Dubai. Does anyone know where you can get the leggings with control top? I see an online website called Blush & Bloom based in Dubai, not sure what they are like or for returns if the size is not right, I prefer to be able to try on in a store! Hopefully someone has some good experiences to report! Thanks ;-)

Daiquiri be sure to let us know what you think of the Bellybandit. I'm due my bambino in 8 weeks so think I may invest in a pair of the Spanx leggings too (possibly to wear on top of my spanx & whatever else I can find to suck me in!) ? Hi - only coming back to this now - I'm afraid my bellybandit story isn't successful! I bought a size small as advised in the shop but it never fitted so I never got to use it unfortunately. Bought spanx instead although I think the bellybandit would have been better as there seems to be a stronger support in it. Thankfully though my tummy went down pretty much straight away. I have actually advertised my unused bellybandit in the classifieds (baby section ) for anyone that is looking for a size small - as I said it was never used. Good luck to all with their recent/upcoming babies x

Thanks for your replies! Well I ended up buying the Bellybandit at the weekend & I really hope it fits afterwards! The lady in the shop convinced me the medium would be too big after a few days and I needed small - I have just under 5 weeks until due date & am not that big so I really do hope it fits! I think the Spanx could be a great idea too - I saw Spanx Leggings in Debenhams at the weekend and think they could be really nice on - however I saw a good few reviews on them that said after two or three wears the seams in the crotch area splits - doesn't sound great as they are nearly 400AED to buy - if anyone has bought them let us know how you found them! The crotch on mine has never split or gone ( I have several pairs which are over a year old) . They are the best out of all the shape wear and I have tried many :-) Good to know SarahLou123 - I think I'll definitely invest in a pair - they do look great!

I second Spanx! I also got a wrap around Velcro belt from Life pharmacy to give me support around the house. Go easy on yourself in the few weeks & don't put yourself under unnecessary pressure. Once I was feeling better, settled into my breast feeding & sleeping a little more I started thinking about my tummy & [b'>to be honest it went back to normal mostly of its own accord.[/b'> Good luck ? Mr too, after the first three babies. After the fourth, oh my, I still need Spanx 18 months later :D

I have tried P'anticell before and have had good results. http://www.webdesigndubaico.com/pci/final2/anti-cellulite-shaping-wear.htm You can buy it from some of the pharmacies.

I found Spanx good. There are lots of different styles, Debenhams has them.
