I haven't had a personal experience yet, but another mommy-to-be friend recently got a prenatal massage done at SensAsia Urban Spas, Palm Jumeirah. She has all 'wows' for that place & their services. They have couple of branches around Dubai. Just thought of sharing in everybody's interest!

I am on my third pregnancy and I am a big fan of the massage! I am happy to have a massage from any place that is just for shoulders and neck. I just lie on my side. For rest of body - I seek out a specialist massage therapist. My physiotherapist has given me the names of 2 ladies who are specialists in pregnancy massage here in Dubai. A massage from the physiotherapist is not a 'real' massage - they will only generally focus on areas of issue, rather than hour of removing the knots from your shoulders (which is what i am after).

Thanks Preethihappy - perhaps you're right, not worth it to risk it, thanks :-)

You should only see a physiotherapist for this, masseuse are not properly qualified and really don't know the body. physiotherapist charge a little more and are qualified. I would not risk it

Hi, just wondering what people's opinions and experiences are about getting pregnancy massages - I see mixed reviews where people think it's not safe and can trigger contractions if the wrong areas are massaged and then others that say it's fine! I am 22 weeks, no aches or pains just feel like a treat! Which oil is the safest to use (I have recommendation of Almond, Olive or Sunflower)? Has anyone tried Angasana spa Marina for pregnancy Massage?
