Hi Girls

This is my 3rd pregnancy,i had both my earlier deliveries in london. This time ive decided to stay in dubai, im 27weeks pregnant with twins. my previous 2 were sligletons..so this is a whole new experience to me...ive still not decided on which hospital to deliever @ im stuck between medcare nd city..ive read a few reviews on here and both have more or less same bad n good reviews, but now im kinda more pushed towards city, after reading about there very good NICU unit..as ive been told twins r usually born b4 there due date even around 7months..so theres a higher chance we might need a NICU unit??...

any been through simular exprience as mine or which hospital do u guys recommend..

FAZ

Ok cool good luck with your second pregnancy...most of the time its alot easier then the 1st...your alot more prepared and know exactly what to expect, even tho this is my 3rd pregnancy i feel lot more nervous then the 1st..coz theres 2 of them in there which ive never had b4..but anyway...it will all be over b4 we know it. me i stay in Al aweer...what about urself? Well we just arrived in Dubai Thursday evening. We are in JBR. I'm still learning where everything is in relation, but luckily DH has been here for a few weeks so he knows a little more. edited by MereTX81 on 09/04/2011

No other way to go for a safe ride with all babies and children properly seated and belted in, in your car/minivan I'm afraid. I had two sets of twins born at Al Wasl Hosptlal, the first seven weeks perm' and the second set were born three weeks early when the first set were just two years old. Excellent care! My husband was allowed at the birth of the first without question and even stayed over with me, though a British midwife at the time in charge..... The second two were emergency c section so a whole different matter. Going out meant military planning with four under two. But now all teens, they still seem to still fill up the cars just not bags of nappies and bottles and push chairs......but sports kit and school bags!!!!! Some things never change even as they grow!!!!

Congratulations!! I am 27 weeks pregnant also, but only one baby. :) I just wondered if City mentioned taking you this late in the game? I am due to arrive in Dubai in the next couple of weeks and worry about being accepted at hospitals and seen by doctors with how far into this pregnancy I already am. Husband is already there and has seen a few of the hospitals and liked City best, so keeping my fingers crossed for it. Good luck on everything!! edited by MereTX81 on 30/03/2011

I had my twins at city with dr elsa in september. C-section at 37 weeks. They've got a great NICU there, but mine didn't need it. Make sure your insurance covers NICU. Do try to register at Al Wasl, but they wouldn't take me. I've got two older children as well, 2 and 6 and my issue now is, how do you fit four kids in a car?

Congratulations Faz! I have 3 year old twin boys plus an older girl. An average twins pregnancy is 37 weeks - there's some great info and hospital recommendations on the website MrsMoosa posted. I gave birth at Welcare and was with Dr Rolsalie Sant - I would highly recommend her. The facebook group is great too - lots of support there is you need questions answered! Good luck!

Hello Faz Congratulations! I'm expecting twins in July, these will be my first babies. I recommend you get in contact with Multiplied UAE, either on facebook or through the following website http://multiplieduae.com/multiplieduae.com/Home.html there's a large group of Mums and Dads who have great advice for those expecting more than one. There's also information on the different hospitals, and I would strongly advise you sign up with Al Wasl if you have not already as apparently they have great premature baby care. All the best!
