Hi Ayda, we had bubs circumcised at Zulekha Hospital in dubai when he was 3 weeks old. Paid aed 1000 including consultancy. He recovered very well, within 5 days. A word of advice though: feed the baby just before you enter the doc's office because they won't let you feed until after the procedure, when he will be too sleepy to nurse. GL

Hi CapeChick, I am positive they didnt tell or charge us for any medication. DS was prescribed Panadol suppositories for any discomfort after the procedure. Best to clarify with them again.

Got this done for DS last month, at the no-frills Aster Hospital in Mankhool. The procedure (ring method) and consultation fees cost AED850. City Hospital quoted us AED1650 if we got it done immediately after birth (before discharge) and AED3000 or roundabouts otherwise. I called the doctor and the receptionist quoted the AED850 (procedure AED 650 & consult AED200) PLUS AED1200 for medication = AED2025. Did they tell you this as well? Do you know what the medication is for?

You could also check with Belhoul hospital - I had my little one done last year and I paid 1000 dhs. Best to call and confirm the price. I didn;t have any problems with the hospital, the staff were really good. hope this helps.
