First of all, is it do-able to have a baby on your lap for 8 hours straight? How do you go to the bathroom?
What about diaper changes, is there a baby changing unit on the plane? I never saw it but probably wasnt looking.
Is a 7 month old to big for the bassinet? I have a uber long baby so I am afraid of that.

I am staying 2 months at my parents place and will be sharing a bedroom with my son. At home he sleeps in his own room. I am afraid all our sleep training till now will be in vein. Did anybody have this experience?

Does anybody know where to buy ready made cartons and which brands? We use Nan, but I read on here that there are no ready made NAN cartons. Which cartons are to be recommended?

I have an ergo and will be carrying him in there, and buy one of those little suitcases on wheels so I dont pack to heavy, any other tips on making the trip easier on my back?

What about toys? Do you pack a lot for a 7 month old?

All tips and tricks on flying and staying at parents house are welcome!

My parents are quite old and the house is not child proof and it doesnt seem like they want to child proof it so I think the best thing would be to buy a travel cot and let him play in there? Will he be crawling by than? I have no idea...rrrr....

All right, thanks..I will only be flying in 3 months but want to be prepared. Hope my baby boy wont forget all our routines once we are abroad because we wont have any baby equipment and I am not planning on spending a fortune for only 2 months..... So he should be able to fit into a bassinet. Will try to book a seat with bassinet than... Just feel like a single mom coz hubby is not going with me on this one....

Hi Jasmine :) I travelled with a 9 month old last year so I know how you feel. Firstly, it is possible to have them on your lap but it is likely that you will get a bit warm and aggitated. My little one just squeezed into the sky bassinet which was great as when she was a sleep I could just strap her in and do my own thing. If there is any turbulance though you will be asked to take them out. There is baby changing in the toilets but it is a bit of a squeeze so if you have a little wriggler then you will have your work cut out but it is easily do-able. If you need the toilet and you are travelling alone its a matter of taking them with you or if they are asleep, just ask an air steward to watch them whilst you pop out. Aptamil is a good brand of milk, very well recommended in the UK. You can buy this at most pharmacies and Boots the chemist sell it in most of the UK airports. I didnt pack many toys for the little one, just a few rattles to keep her entertained. They canwatch the cartoons on the screens for extra entertainment. And for a playpen, the big supermarkets like ASDA sell travel cots that can be used as a playpen which are usually about £25 and worth every penny! I hope this helps a little :)
