sheepskin pram liner in hot weather?

we were lucky enough to be given a maclaren stroller with a cosy lamby insert while in aust with our 8 mo.
i've read on-line that sheepskin is good for babies in hot weather.
has anyone got personal experience with these stroller inserts in dubai - especially with the current weather conditions.
