Am just wondering has anyone used a 'sleep sheep'?

DS is almost 7 months and having had bad reflux from very early on has become used to falling asleep in our arms. Keeping him upright for at least 20mins after each feed created that bad habit!

We're not at the absolute end of our tether yet but am interested to hear if anyone has any good or bad views on it, as it's a habit I would like to break as soon as possible.

This is what I'm talking about if anyone doesn't know it -

TIA

I remember a friend's twin boys (now in their 20s, hence the low tech solution) who used to go to sleep with a tape recording of the vacuum cleaner, after she had somehow discovered they found the sound soothing!

Many thanks ladies - I should probably have added in my original post that often to get DS off to sleep we go into the bathroom & run the tap, he's instantly more relaxed & is asleep in a few minutes. He doesn't always need this but i thought the 'rain' sound might reduce our DEWA bill! Lol I'll try downloading some first & see how we go. Thanks again :)

We used to leave a hairdryer on for a few minutes. It worked like a charm. So then we recorded it on our laptop. We got the cloud B sheep and the giraffe as shower gifts, but I agree, now I know how to download, white noise on any phone/iPad/ computer is great.

I think white noise is most effective with newborns. You can download white noise cheaply from the internet but using it alone won't break the rock/hold to sleep pattern, you will either need to break that association or wait for him to grow out of it.

I have one of those, I got it from a friend when DD was about 3 months old. It really worked with her as she has a preemie and this has sounds similar to what babies could hear in the womb. For me it didn't make such difference, apart from annoying my husband. :-) It is good as white noise, but if your LO is not used to that I wouldn't expect a miracle from this sheep. But see what others say.
