I need some advise on what stroller to buy for our upcoming holiday with my 3 month old, I have the Quinny stroller for us in Dubai, but its just too bulky to bring on plane and fit in cars during our holiday in Europe.

I've heard a few good comments about the maclaren, but appreciate any other advise on an umbrella type stroller that works well for you. I've also read that some aren't flat enough for a 3 month old even if advertised as available for use from newborn.

Thanks :)

I used a mothercare brand umbrella folding type stroller last month during our holiday abroad. I believe there were two designs available, one a flowery pink and the other jungle green. It was truly very handy as i was using a quinny stroller before that, which was quite bulky and took up quite a lot of space. this is light weight and folds very easily. Only thing i am unsure about is whether it is suitable for a 3 month old. You might have to check on that. Hope this helps.

On my 7th stroller now, and am a true strolleraholic. I can't help myself. I'm obsessed! Returned the YoYo the day my husband bought it, with severe buyers remorse as I hate folding it down and caught my fingers in it. Live the Quinny Zapp, maxi cosi combo for travel with a very LO, as it means you can take your capsule with you. I am also looking into the Maclarean range now that my LO is not so little. But as mentioned below... You can't beat a baby carrier. LOVE my Ergo!

Ha ha! Our husbands should meet and compare notes ;-) I firmly believe that 'Stroller regret' is serious condition and must be taken seriously ;-) That is why I had to try 2 to get to the YoYo :-) I did not even want to look at it when the lady from 6am babies was demonstrating it at an event but then I did look (of course!) and was sold! Never looked back :-)

He he, TDB, you don't know what you're asking for. I could talk about the YoYo for ages! I love how light it is and that's the only stroller I use now! From groceries to travelling. It reclines so is nice for when the LO wants a rest! The colours are fab, fabirc washes well and it is just soconvenient! It rides very well as well and takes up v little room in the boot! I absolutely love it!!!! :-)

I wouldn't bother about buying stroller for travel only. Baby carrier its a very good idea, although it is not really recommended to out baby into the carrier until is sitting up, but for such a short time it will not do any harm. Remember o choose soft ergonomic carrier, such Ergo/Boba or Manduca, the Baby Bjorn is not so good, especially for so small baby as dosen't give sufficient support for back and legs are dandling down .Or you can try a baby wrap. I want to add about putting so young baby for umbrella stroller i.The baby back is on stage of development, sitting up little bit or putting baby for longer periods in his type of stroller will create unnecessary pressure on the spine which may led for spine back problems ( sometimes it might show even in adult life).I am not talking about one time travel off course ;).Consider also that baby might not like stay in stroller, and you will end up carrying LO :) When i travel emirates i had stroller but i had carry baby in the wrap most of the time. edited by evelyn2000 on 07/05/2013

Also have a quinny buzz and bought a Maclaren for travelling. Bought the techno xlr which reclines completely flat. However, even folded, the Maclaren is quite long and often doesn't fit in luggage areas on trains for example. Also I never managed to get it back at the door of the plane.

At 3 months, pop that baby in a carrier and wear him/her. So much more convenient than dodging people and lugging around a stroller!

Aw, that's a shame! TO be perfectly honest, I used it from as soon as DD held her head up. Why not try it? Maybe pop the ladies at 6am an email, I've always found them very receptive.

Thanks Barsha lady 1 - the yoyo looks fantastic however it states its for 6 month +, so it'll work for the future but for this trip I'll need one for a smaller baby.

I've said it before, I'll say it again! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my Babyzen YoYo! It is sooo handy and rides so well and the best part is that it comes on the plane with you!! I have this one (http://www.6ambabies.com/en/458-yoyo-lightweight-stroller-blue.html) but in pink. I just bought my sister the blue recently from 6ambabies as well. They dropped it off and gave my sis a demo :-) HTH Oh, and it does fold almost flat!
