Im looking for a swimming jacket/ lifejacket for 18month old, or suggestions as to what you use with your toddler for safety while learning to swim. Swim ring is too small, armbands alone do not support enough. Saw a toddler lifejacket for £30 pounds in UK, any ideawhere I can get a cheaper alternative here? Thanks in advance

I found the Bobbin one to ride up too much, but did see another where there was a strap that went between the legs, which struck me as much better - you can also get swim-suits with built-in removable flats. Alternatively, you can get arm-bands where the bit under the arms is flat, so far more comfy for little ones and are designed to offer more buoyancy. DS has been using these since we found that the jacket really didn't work for him and he absolutely loves the freedom. I would also highly recommend swimming lessons - they don't use arm-bands of floatation devices. DD was already trying to swim and tagged along to DS's and within one session, she declared she didn't need arm-bands any more... and she didn't!

ELC has a good selection of ZOGGS swimming aids! Try the big ELC in Dubai Mall as they always seem to have stock. HTH

My DD is 3 and about 18kg. There are smaller sizes available.

Hi, we bought our DD a swimming vest from the Early Learning Centre for 150 AED. It has floats that you remove once your child becomes more confident in the water. Our DD is starting to swim much better (legs and arms) but she did jump in the deep water on Friday when not wearing it (over confident) so recommend constant supervision!
